Telenor Pakistan Signs Up Sybrid as Contact Center Outsourcing Partner

ISLAMABAD, October 19, 2011: Telenor Pakistan has signed an agreement according to which it will outsource part of its customer services operations to Sybrid. For the purpose, Sybrid will establish a contact center inIslamabad which will initially comprise 100 customer relations officers but with the capacity to move to 500 depending on business needs. The agreement was signed by Christian Albech, CEO TelenorPakistan and Iqbal Ali Lakhani, Chairman Lakson Group & CEO Sybrid at a local hotel today.

Lakson Group has also agreed to port-in to TelenorPakistan800 of its postpaid business connections. In addition, Lakson Group will look at the possibility of opening Easypaisa accounts for salary disbursals to 10,000 of its factory workers spread across 15 group companies.

Christian Albech, CEO TelenorPakistanspeaking about the mutually beneficial partnership said: “TelenorPakistanis strongly focused on enhancing its customer services. So we are delighted to be partnering with Sybrid, a credible name inPakistan’s contact center industry, to be able to benefit from their expertise and serve our customers even better. We hope that our partnership will result in the creation of around 500 jobs in one year. In addition, the prospect of Sybrid considering using Easypaisa for disbursal of salaries to its employees is also an exciting development, one which we hope will lead to a positive take up.”

dear,

i received a message fom telenor couple of weeks ago that (this messege is sent due to the wriiten complaint against my number).is there any evidence of this complain? can anyone complain against my number?

I want to clearify to telenor that if you have an evidence of obnoxious message sent by me to someone then present to me or call me and show me. Anyone can perform propoganda against me so you must rectify first then suspend my number . i talked with customer service officer named Mr.Zia and Mr.Yasir. I claimed that if anyone will complain against my number then you will suspend me. is there any poof of evidence that i have done any unplesure call or message to anyone. customer representative didnot present me any evidence through which i can confess on complain by someone. If concerned department have done any investigation regarding this matter then show me what action have been taken by concerned department and on what basis have you taken action against my number.

I have not done any obnoxious message to anyone ,this is propoganda against me and want to mentally harass me so that i can feel dipress or anxious and he/she is still trying to disturb me through your service.

I went to customer center, meet with customer service officer Mr.Om Prakash and present my complain in written but he told me to write apology letter then your number will be active but i replied that i wiil not write an apology letter because i have not done any unpleasure message to someone and asked for any proof of eviidence but customer service centre(garden branch) didnot show me any proof.

Kindly resolve my matter and properly activate my number. i am loyal and satisfied customer of telenor , I want you to maintain this relationship between us by providing better services as you were providing earlier. I will be glad to have your supportive feedback on my matter.

Telenor Pakistan aslo decide to implement more charges on all easyload and recharge, In Past Ufone and Mobilink already implement these charges with different names. Telenor declared they plan to impose 1.5 percent in all reloads through Telenor Talkshawk and Djuice consumers — therefore Telenor gives it one different name. Telenor has named it “Admin Fee”.

Telenor Pakistan is dismayed by the sensationalistic reporting of a blogger on one of the leading telecom blogs, Propakistani.

In a recent story on Propakistani, http://propakistani.pk/2011/06/07/secret-british-aid-used-to-setup-easypaisa-gets-unveiled/ , the blogger alleges:

“It was recently unveiled that Telenor has secretly used British funds to establish its financial services solution called easypaisa

However, none of the involving parties, including Telenor, Tameer Bank or the British government ever announced the existence or the utilization of this fund.”

The fund is NOT a secret:

The funding was received by Tameer Microfinance Bank NOT Telenor Pakistan through the State Bank of Pakistan and not directly from UKAid (DFID) or the British government.
Tameer Microfinance Bank received it from the State Bank of Pakistan’s financial inclusion program under its technology related technical assistance grant for capacity building

Under its mandate, the grant cannot not be used to “subsidize” the cost of services offered. Since it was meant for “technology related technical assistance” it was used by Tameer Microfinance Bank to strengthen agent review and risk management systems and to enhance treasury and payment gateways for home remittances.

Karachi - 31^st March, 2011: Telenor Pakistan has joined hands with Nokia whereby applications published by Telenor Pakistan will be hosted on Nokia’s Ovi Store. This was announced at a signing ceremony held here today.

The first of the applications include games and comedy content. WeRPlay & Anahata Solutions are the apps development partners.
