Wateen won the 2009 National Polo Championship with victory over Hilton Pharma in the final at the Lahore Polo Club (LPC) Ground here on Sunday. Bank Alfalah Royal Banking downed Tip Moor Al Khan and Rangers 6-2 to win the subsidiary final. Parvez Shahid of Bank Alfalah was the chief guest. Wateen defeated Hilton Pharma 7-5 with Gaston Moore (from winners) and James Harper (from losing side) slamming four goals each. Tony Keyte and Asif Tiwana supervised the matches.
